Set up fare alerts on Google Flights, be flexible on dates by ±3 days, and consider flying into secondary airports. Booking 6–8 weeks out for Europe and 3–4 months for Asia usually gets the best prices.
A mix of travel hacking, points and miles, budget accommodation, and cooking my own food when possible. I also work remotely, which removes the biggest barrier most people face.
Europe is incredibly solo-friendly: great transport, English widely spoken, and easy to navigate. Portugal, the Czech Republic, or the Netherlands make excellent first solo trips — welcoming, affordable, and genuinely beautiful.
